WELCOME TO THE CENTRAL ENERGY TRUST


The Central Energy Trust provides grants to community, sporting, educational, cultural and health organisations within the Manawatu/Tararua regions for projects which are energy-related and which will benefit the consumer's of the former CentralPower/ElectroPower energy companies. The range of organisations that benefit from funding provided by the Central Energy Trust can be seen by the assortment of photos displayed throughout the website.

The Central Energy Trust also provides up to ten academic bursaries and five trade bursaries each year to students to provide assistance with the cost of their tertiary education and training.


Community Grants
The last grant round was held in November 2009 with some $1,174,226 being approved to forty five organisations.

The next grant round is scheduled for May 2010 with applications closing at 5.00pm on Friday 7 May 2010. For more information please click here.

Academic and Trade Bursaries
Applications for the 2009 Academic and Trade Bursaries have now closed.
